was founded in response to the need to provide hospital services in specialist areas and to develop innovative healthcare delivery models.
The group consists of three main entities.
The first hospital of its kind in KwaZulu-Natal and one of only four such facilities in South Africa. It is a specialist facility for the treatment of blood disorders and includes a bone marrow/stem cell transplant unit.
Co-located with Capital Haematology Hospital. It is an Ambulatory Surgical Centre (ASC) with three operating theatres for minor surgical procedures.
Hybrid catherization laboratory, Integrated with emergency endovascular theatre and Endovascular Laboratory. It is our aim to utilise best practice design and technology to create facilities that allow medical professionals to practice their skills efficiently in a purpose built space.
Geographically, the location of the three proposed ASC’s ensures that Capital Surgical will have a large footprint across KwaZulu-Natal. Capital Surgical Westridge is centrally located while Capital Surgical Umhlanga, Capital Surgical Chatsworth and Capital Surgical Isipingo provide services to the North and South of Durban respectively. The latter three are stand-alone unattached Ambulatory Surgical Centres (ASC).
